About Panorama

Panorama Environmental, Inc. is an environmental consulting firm focused on environmental review of energy and infrastructure projects. Our team of environmental scientists assists agency staff and companies in defining baseline conditions, conducting environmental reviews under CEQA and NEPA, and obtaining permits for projects such as renewable and traditional energy project development; natural gas pipelines and underground storage; roads, bridges, and other public works projects; and water infrastructure, including dams, pipelines, and flood control.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project manager or project director responsible for successful project execution. Provide technical oversight, interdisciplinary team oversight including management of subcontractors, quality control, budget management, and schedule control for a wide variety of complex projects.
  • Develop and maintain existing and new business relationships. Identify and pursue leads, prepare proposals, and successfully bring in large-scale projects. Build relationships leading to follow-on and repeat work. Attract work based on personal reputation as an expert.
  • Supervise in-house staff, including development and training of junior staff. Manage the workload of direct reports and staff scientists.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CEQA and NEPA regulations and policies and policies and activities pertaining to renewable energy development.

Requirements

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A minimum of 10 years of applicable experience managing projects with an environmental consulting firm. Experience should be focused on permitting energy and infrastructure projects with a particular emphasis on renewable energy, water, and transmission line development.
  • A high level of understanding of CEQA and NEPA compliance.
  • Preference for applicants with a technical background in hydrogeology and water resources
  • A thorough understanding of state and federal ESA, CWA, CAA, and the NHPA and how to obtain permits under these regulations.
  • An applicable educational background, including a Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field, with a Master’s degree preferred (degree verified).
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Excellent writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm and sense of fun.
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license. Must satisfactorily pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check and motor vehicle record check.
