Panorama prepared an EIR to address the permitting and operational expansion of the Yreka Landfill near Yreka, California. Primary issues included hydrology, biological resources, air quality, and visual quality effects of the proposed project on the local environment. Panorama assisted the City and County in the preparation and acquisition of an amended Use Permit and Solid Waste Facility Permit for the 162-acre existing landfill and a 300-acre adjacent borrow area. The project scope also included coordinating and facilitating the preparation of General Plan and Zoning Ordinance amendments to facilitate the expanded use and operation of the landfill.
