Panorama staff are experts at guiding clients through the mineral exploration and mining process on BLM-managed lands. We have extensive experience conducting environmental reviews for mineral projects in Nevada, California, Idaho, and Oregon, and we help clients anticipate and meet agency requirements from early exploration through mine development.
We assist clients in determining baseline study needs (biological, cultural, hydrological, etc.) to ensure a defensible environmental review process. Our team is skilled at preparing mineral exploration Notices (≤5 acres), Plans of Operations (>5 acres), and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) analyses at both the EA and EIS levels.
In Nevada, Panorama supports projects by preparing applications for Nevada Division of Minerals (NDOM) Dissolved Mineral Resource Exploration (DMRE) wells and boreholes. In California, we assist clients with permitting and compliance through the California Geological Energy Management Division (CalGEM), including subsurface drilling, geothermal, and related mineral activities. In Oregon, we assist clients with compliance under the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries (DOGAMI) framework for exploration and mining activities.
Panorama provides regulatory liaison and permitting support at the local, state, and federal levels including the following:
- Navigating permitting for vibrating wire piezometers and other monitoring infrastructure.
- Assisting with gravel material acquisition for operations.
- Guiding clients through water rights permitting and road maintenance agreements.
- Providing ongoing compliance support to keep projects on track.
