Panorama prepared an EA for a proposed 1.2-MW geothermal power plant, a 3,000- to 6,000-foot-deep geothermal well, and a pipeline connecting the new well and power plant located on the Oregon Institute of Technology campus in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The EA was required because the project was funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The significant issues presented by the project included microseismicity and effects to the geothermal reservoir and at the injection location. Most impacts were minimal and all effects could be mitigated.
